We would like to invite you to an exhibition of photographs that we have prepared in cooperation with curators Petr Hrubeš and Dalibor Bednář. The event will take place from 24. 4. 2024 (including the exhibition opening at 17:00) until 8. 9. 2024.
He has never been a professional photographer, yet he has been a photographer for his whole life. When Hansgert Lambers, a native from Hanover, came to Czechoslovakia and Ostrava in the 1970s to work as an IT specialist, the raw environment got under his skin. During his working hours, he implemented an American IBM control system in a metallurgical plant, and in his spare time he took photographs, resulting in a unique set of photographs. The Berlin / Ostrava exhibition, among other things, compares the two worlds. The focus is on people, mostly in urban environments.
