You are warmly invited to join us for the most significant event in the history of Ostrava Expat Centre – Expats & Locals Together. It is a two-month creative exposition where 10 local and 10 foreign artists and entrepreneurs gather around to showcase their projects with a foreign touch.
The event takes place from the 1st of April, until the 31st of May 2023, and its main exhibition is enhanced by an exciting supplementary program.
All 20 creatives will have the chance to share their personal journey at Expats & Locals Together, with the majority of them representing their city and Moravian-Silesian region across the globe. The supplementary program will feature the Ostrava Expat Centre itself, and its regular and well-received events such as Ostrava Women Club or Expat Centre Music Club.
Who can you look forward to? For example, the brand Bagind and Lukáš Matějíček, who is not only the brand’s CEO but also a traveller at heart – that’s why we have prepared a presentation during the supplementary program – with a surprise. You can also come across the paintings of a skilled artist and illustrator Barbora Sika, who has also prepared an aquarelle workshop. As for foreign creatives, you will meet the artist Elena Rozhkova who is an illustrator for the project ‘’Celé Česko čte dětem’’.
Aside from the exposition and events prepared by the creatives, we will be part of the Museum Night (‘’Muzejní noc’)’ project. On the 20th of May, there will be an action-packed program that starts in the morning and continues until the evening. It is suited not only for families but also individuals.
Expats and Locals together will take place in FUTUREUM, a new architectural marvel in DOV. It is a unique museum concept that is ought to represent the future of technology and human actions. The event is powered by the Ostrava statutory city, Moravian-Silesian region, Moravian-Silesian innovation centre, and MS Pact.
